About
Hi! I’m Debbie, and I run Wastenot.
I’ve been very environmentally conscious my whole life (thanks hippy parents and Woodcraft Folk!)
I started really trying to reduce my waste output in 2013 when I was living in Melbourne and went dumpster diving for food- the sheer volume of it was unbelievable.
Reducing food waste led me naturally to look at the impact of packaging, and I started hunting for new products and solutions to the problems I discovered.
I realised that if I was looking for these solutions, other people must be too, so I stared Wastenot! From humble beginnings renting a shelf in a shop, to having my own shop and website.
I’m still really passionate about environmental and social injustice, and I often use my platform to raise awareness and bolster community support for causes close to my heart.
